Over the course of 8 weeks, using the Iterative Design Process, my teammates and I developed a fully functioning video game using Unity. The game is a 2D text based murder mystery, and my role in its development was Head Writer and Project Manager. As head writer, it was my job not only to develop the plot of the game, but to also organize how the game would splinter and lead to different endings.
The group consisted of a lead programmer, a head writer, an assistant writer, a debugging playtester, and an asset collector. Additionally, as project manager, I was in charge of delegating work and making sure we reached our goal for each iteration. At the end of each iteration, we would have professional EA game developers come in to playtest what we had accomplished.
